Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Anyone have a new clutch installed? My '03 C4 Cab. 6 speed had only 39k miles on it when I (just) had the IMS replaced. You know the "while you're in there" do the clutch, which I did. I am amazed at how much lighter the clutch pedal is. My guess is about 50% less force required to push it in. I think, with the old clutch, I actually noticed that my left calf muscle was slightly larger than the right one.

HAHAHAHAHa!!!! I just spewed my coffee imaging a man walking down the street with one leg noticeably larger than the other. Seriously, I also have an '03 Cab, and it's a one owner car. He only had Porsche do major maintenance on the car and the clutch was replace just before I purchased it, but since he didn't drive it much, the clutch was very stiff and concerned me. But found in my Adrian Streather book that you should "massage" the clutch periodically by pressing the clutch pedal in 10 x before you start the car. I do that regularly and it's amazing how easy the clutch is to press down now. At first, I would get leg cramps after a long drive, but now, it's effortless. Cheers!

Ouch. Ya that achilles thingy that attaches to it definitely makes it work better.

Yea, us "Po Peoples" do strange things and swallow our pride like... Disciplining our children in public when they're having a hissy fit over wanting candy at the check-out counter. Or, pee'n on the side of a busy road because there ain't a bathroom for another 100 miles. Or, going into a Lingerie shop in the mall to shop for a Valentine's gift for your wife. Or, being the "back patter" when your children throw up from riding a roller coaster that you warned them not to ride after eating fried chicken and onion rings. You smile a people that stop and gawk. I shout, "Would you like a picture? It lasts longer?" Or, watching your wife try on a 100 pairs of shoes and end up buying none of them. Or, playing barbies with your girls and finding out later the images end up on Facebook Or, take ballroom dance classes and look like a fool Or, wear speedos at the public beach because, well, you can! Or, playing "bust a move" on your car stereo very loud and the young people ask "what song is that?" ok ok ok... I'll stop there! hahahaha Seriously, I would never would have thought that the "massaging the pedal" idea would work, but it's a simple easy thing to do and guess what, it worked for me and now both of my legs are normal size. Cheers!
