Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.
Discussions that suspect a cause

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Leading evidence: 'only one you'll find' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'only one you'll find' (1 discussions; 0 report identifying it and 1 suggest it). No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I would also consider Vesuvio Metallic if it is a nice vehicle.
I cannot believe how rare this color is compared to all of the other blue colors on the 996.1. It is probably the most unique of the blues and the color used in a ton of the 996 promotional materials.
When I was looking for mine in early 2020 I was talking with a guy who was selling his zenith blue. The shade was a bit too light for my taste and the guy was very sales-y. I didn't trust him so I begged off. Maybe he has the info of the person he ultimately sold it to. His email was:
[email removed]
He was in southern California
I would feel bad about cold calling him. He had major salesman vibes. That might be a secondary email he uses. Who knows maybe he'll check it & maybe forward the info on. I figured it was a bit of a long shot anyway. Good luck on your search!
I sent you a DM, but youre right. These dont come for sale too often, but I figure putting out some feelers to try to get into an off-market car wouldnt hurt either.
Maybe a current owner will see my ad and think of me when they start to consider selling their ZBM car.
It is pretty close, but I really like the purple in the Zenith. I also dont have a GT car budget on this one, haha. If I were to spend that much, Id get an SLS AMG.
I saw that lol. But yeah... US based. I feel like Zenith was also a lot more popular in the UK. But then again... it feels like a ton of Youtubers and internet content creators from the UK who make 996 content, so maybe it is just a confirmation bias thing.
That car was on BaT last week and didn't meet reserve at $33,500......$35,175 all-in. Had to have been close to reserve, I would think? Tip is going to rob a few bucks. Beautiful car nonetheless.
The dealer had it listed on their site for $45k right before they listed it on BaT. My guess is that the reserve was around $40k.
To the right buyer, it definitely is a $35-40k car in my mind. This wont be a daily for me, so I wont go spending on the upper end of my budget on a Tiptronic when I really want a 6-speed (and a C2 if Im honest). Maybe if manual conversions were more straight forward and cheaper Id more strongly consider it, but alas.
Ive seen this early build (in what I believe is Zenith Blue) cab several times in my area recently. Manual, graphite grey interior, fried eggs and missing hood crest . It might be the original owner since it still has a Holberts license plate frame.
Ill ask them if its for sale since I was planning to offer them a spare emblem I have lying around. Installation included
I know that for the longest time people were trying as has as they could to get rid of the amber headlights, taillights, and side markers, but man.... The ambers look so sexy on Zenith. If I wind up getting a 99 or 00 car, I'll definitely be backdating to ambers.
Not wanting to start a new thread and cant edit the OP, but I am back on the hunt. I had previously acquired an Arctic Silver C4S and subsequently sold it due to a number factors, but I want to get back into a 996 that I can feel good about keeping long term.
Looking primarily for an aerokit car, but would entertain non-aero offers if the vehicle is nice. Check out my new ad here.
