Yes the engine is ~300hrs SMOH by Penn Yann and the lead levels are mostly from the fuel, however you can see the seriously elevated lead levels trending from prior to OH in '08 and '09 when we had a wear issue and replaced 2 cylinders which brought the lead down significantly for a year or two (we used a different lab), then overhauled the engine shortly thereafter.

You would think with all the Labs doing Oil Analysis that there would be a full collection of Virgin Samples available for ALL oils on the market, but no such list exists... Speeddiagnosix has some but is no where near a full list... Thanks for posting this one .....

Yea the Silicone is definitely anti-foam, but what I don't get is the 4 ppm Aluminum and 6 ppm Tin ? WTF is that for ??? Without knowing it was in there when NEW could make you ppm in double digits very easily thinking engine wear... That's why I don't put a lot of stock wear metals per se,..it takes a LOT of PPM's to be "worn out" ...lol

@WingsWheelsHulls It's pretty much on topic imho...That's the first UOA on a Lycoming I have seen..Thanks for posting, very interesting !!! ...I'm not surprised at the Iron PPM, as I know some engines can be as high as 300 PPM and be normal..., But I was surprised the the PPM of Lead being so high and I assume this is a "300hr after over-haul engine", so whats the deal with the Lead ??
