Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

So, I measured the rear wiper on a 2010 Panamera and it was the same size, but looked much sleeker.
Leading evidence: 'same size' (1 discussions report identifying this cause; no attributable repair resolution). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'same size' (1 discussions; 1 report identifying it and 0 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Replace i'll have' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

The wiper arm seem pretty low, so when I replace I'll have to realign them.

your blades seem to be offset in relation to the J hook but still use the J hook to secure.

Was it a choice to use these rather than align the wipers to their proper spot on the windshield?
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

This is a new to me 996.2TT which needed some new wipers and I had never seen this style before. The connector to the arm is a J hook which I am familiar with. I can't imagine the wipers are OE as I cannot find them anywhere. Was it a choice to use these rather than align the wipers to their proper spot on the windshield? The wiper arm seem pretty low, so when I replace I'll have to realign them. Any clues are greatly appreciated!
Comparison from the drivers seat. I see why these are installed, they lay flat and out of the way. Passenger side is standard wiper and drivers side is the lay flats.
The flat wiper blade and arm are very cool. I've never seen them before. They may be from another, newer, car. When my wife had a 2008 MB E350 wagon, the rear wiper didn't look that great -- it sort of stuck up a bit. So, I measured the rear wiper on a 2010 Panamera and it was the same size, but looked much sleeker. I bought the wiper arm and wiper blade for a Panamera and it fit perfectly on the MB wagon and looked much better. The PO of your car may have done something similar. When we traded in the car to the dealer, I left a note by the spare tire about the rear wiper and other maintenance that was done. If you do figure out which car your wiper arm and blade are from, do be sure to let us know, because I'd like to replace mine with these.
Looks like the standard arms to me. The blades have an interchangeable mounting section for other various types. It’s nice that it’s offset to keep the arm lower versus having it stick up farther.
The driver's side arm is definitely not the standard arm. See pictures that I took of my wipers (with Valeo wiper blades on them). You can see that both wiper arms stick up and then bend down near the end of the arm, whereas on ShawLeary's pictures, the driver's side is completely flat but the passenger side sticks up and bends down near the end.
your blades seem to be offset in relation to the J hook but still use the J hook to secure. different design. however the J hook is still used . Remove the existing blade to confirm J hook standard.
Then, use a set of regular blades that insert under the J hook. No offset.
