Updated to say this wheel found a new home. Thanks! Finished up my first attempt to strip and refinish a 3-spoke wheel in leather. Although it didn�t turn out perfect, it�s too good to just tear off and start over again. Originally intended to just lace it up to see how it stretched, affected the wrinkles, and pulled in any gaps, then tear off to start over. Steam and heat helped a lot in the end because it looked pretty rough 2 days ago IMO. Still working out my pattern and processes, but I learned some details I need to do differently next time. I went with a straight lace up pattern instead of something more attractive because I was trying to pull up some small gaps in the cover. The leather and lacing is all tight and feels good under the hand with zero movement or shifting when torqued/twisted on. The wrinkles aren�t actually as bad as they look in the pictures, but obviously still there. Final trim up around the spokes is ok except one small spot that is on the underside and wouldn�t be noticeable. Let me know if you�re interested. Trimming defect Pattern gap Pattern gap Pattern gap
