Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Aside from that - once it's running there are no symptoms that I can pick up on.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
13 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.
This has happened from time to time since I purchased the car about 6 months ago. However today it happened back to back - and for a minute I thought I may need to call a tow truck - so I've decided to start doing some research to resolve it.
It it seems to happen when the engine is warmed up. Basically I'll turn the key, hear the engine fire, release the key and the engine quits. Typically if I try again it fires right up no problem. Today it took 2 more tries.
Aside from that - once it's running there are no symptoms that I can pick up on. Seems to idle and run great.
Also - no check engine light on the dash.
Many ideas or pointers would be appreciated.
Cheers
Charlie
first thing that comes to mind is ignition switch ....after it stalls do not touch the key...see if anything electrical is "off" . i have seen switches that the key snaps past the on position between on and off when released .
I agree with extanker .... sounds like you may need to swap out your ignition switch. Lots of people on RL have experienced what you decide. Hope you find a solution Charlie!
And don't forget, when I get ready to install the IMS solution, I coming to you! ha!
Ignition switch as suggested by extanker is good but to be honest the symptoms don't read like an ignition switch problem.
'course, you can check for signs it may be ignition switch related.
On the 1st read I was thinking fuel pump, but to do this over a span of 6 months is not characteristic of a fuel pump.
My WAG is the problem is a crankshaft position sensor. But eliminate the ignition switch first and if you are feeling frisky replace the fuel pump relay.
Thanks for the ideas! I was thinking CPM/S could be a possibility but never even considered the ignition switch of the fuel tank pressure sensor. Unfortunately it happens so infrequently that there isn't much of a chance to diagnose / troubleshoot it. Since the incident I mentioned the other day it hasn't happened again.
These very intermittent problems can be a real pain to diagnose.
Rather than waiting for the problem advance to the point diagnosis is easier if the parts and labor to replace them aren't too much it is perfectly acceptable to throw parts at the behavior.
Absent something that suggests the problem is with the ignition switch then you can pick whichever item to replace. You need a 3 sided coin...
Fortunately the ignition switch is a known wear part and super cheap/easy to replace. It would be wise to replace it because it could cause other issues. We're talking a $10 part and an hour of your time.
