Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Thinking about changing out my stock steering wheel for aftermarket & wanted some feedback from those that have swapped wheels.

I've been running a dished Mod07 wheel on the street and have really enjoyed it and it worked well on the track a few times.
Outcome qualification: Negation, uncertainty or missing explicit repair resolution overrides the raw extraction signal.
Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
12 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Thinking about changing out my stock steering wheel for aftermarket & wanted some feedback from those that have swapped wheels. Specifically, pros & cons (if any & I understand this is subjective) for flat versus dished?
thanks.
Then opposite if the chunks advice. Dish for the track, flat for the street. I found the Nrg short hub and disco to be the nicest, most reasonably cost set up for our cars.
I've been running a dished Mod07 wheel on the street and have really enjoyed it and it worked well on the track a few times. It does require me to slightly shift my hand to reach turn signal stalk but just barely. I guess that depends on the size of your hands. More importantly, I prefer having the wheel closer to me and I used to hit the stock wheel with my knee every time I shifted.

@De Jeeper
said. Heres a shameless post of my set up.
The wheel & upgrades look sweet.
The console delete really makes a difference ergonomically & cosmetically.
I've got both the Prototipo and the Mod07. Mounted on the NRG QuickRelease hub. Pretty happy w the set up. Prefer the Mod07 for arm position although you do have to reach a little further for the turn signal stalk. It's not a problem for me as I had used to have a BMW M3 and learned to never use the turn signals.

your bmw came with the blinker stalk option?
Thanks for the comparison.
I just wanted to remind folks that out cars have a telescopic column and if u use the flat wheel u can reach the salks and get it closer to your body for cofort on the street.
Okay so it's going to be a while before weather really turns nice so this would be a little something in the meantime. I looked at getting an NRG quick release and it looks like there are a lot of options. It's not just an NRG quick release, it's which NRG quick release...(?)
Dished keeps the indicators further away from your fingers so you can flail at the wheel when correcting slides and not catch the wipers or blinkers haha. I run dished wheels in all of my track cars and the stalks are not compromised. Flat wheels pair well with hub extenders, button boxes, paddle shifters and any other such "stack height adders".
