Hey guys. I'm about a month into a winter project upgrading the rear suspension on my father's 1999 996. I purchased RSS upper dog bones and toe arms to correct camber issues that the HR coilovers create. The other components -- lower control arms and tuning forks -- will be replaced with Hambrug Technic. I've decided along the way to drop the subframe on both sides to replace the 25 year old bushings too. While I'm in there, I'd like to remove the hub and axle assembly, for either soda blasting or dry-ice cleaning. The only part that is giving me fits is removal of the emergency brake "guide tube", which is marked #14 in the image below (copyright to Auto Atlanta). Any advice appreciated! Pull the e-brake cable though the back side and the tube is just press fit into the uprights. Chances r it oxidized and it just stuck, try some heat.

Thank you. A little heat and screwdriver on the flange and it popped right out.
