Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Bought a set of 996 sport seats for my 02 Carrera. My car came with full power, memory, and heat. These seats only have rake and tilt, no heat. The seat electrical connector and existing car connector dont match. Looking for help.

Seat #3. Looks like this will attach through the connector.
rpm's: When I did mine, I sourced a used connector, to match/mate with the car connector, on ebay and then pinned the sport seat wires into it. I left everything on the car side "as is' and don't get any codes, etc. My car has (had) memory, heat and power everything.
I think your other post is the way to go but here is how I'd approach getting your drivers side sport seat working if you want to try it out.
1. Photos Car 1 & 2 show you where the car is providing power (red/white wire) and 2 grounds(brown) It also shows you the smaller 4 pin connectors for seat heating (inner connector) and seat belt (outer)
You want to adjust your seat side connector to match to the above (In other words, mess with the seat connector, NOT the car connector.)
2. Photo Seat 1 & 2 show you that you have ground matched up but not red. You'll need to move the red wire to line up with the red/white on the car side plug and your seat will be good to go. NOTE, there is a small blue plastic piece on the end of your seat connector - you need to pop that out. It is a pin retainer. Pull that out and then force the pin out that you need to move and then put the retainer back in.
3. Photo Seat 3 is your seat belt airbag plug. You need to get that into the seat plug to line up with the car side connector. I would examine your full power seat plug to see how it is put together. NOTE: it has an end cap and a blue retainer on the side. It looks like your sport seat is missing these. You can borrow them from your memory seat to get your sport seat working.
4. Install and test your seat and then clear your airbag code with your reader.
btw, you should probably check that red/white wire actually provides 12v. and under what conditions it Key on, etc.
