Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yep, another cab question....I searched but could not find anything that matched my query. Bought car 4 months ago. 03,6mt,88k miles. Top went up and down, but needed "help" when it came to latching at windshield. Found that the hyd. cylinders were leaking and had them rebuilt and that part is functioning properly with fluid replaced and topped up. When closing, the windshield hook comes out but tries to engage too soon and I have to pull it forward by hand to get it in position to grab the windshield. Any thoughts or suggestions? I don't have PWIS. It's almost like the process speed needs to increase to get the top closer to windshield to match the latch process.

POST 2Original post

I have one answer for you. There is a calibration process the top needs to go through after any repairs. My experience has been to take it to the dealer to have them do it. My indy wouldn't attempt it

POST 3Original post

sounds like it could be a hydraulic pressure issue. Is the pump working ok? Did you re-check that the fluid level is still good? Maybe air in the system? Just some ideas off the top of my head

Thanks for the reply. I was thinking same as you and have checked it a couple of times to confirm. Was also thinking it was air in the system so have cycled it a few times to get it out. Just trying to avoid the stealer if possible!

POST 5Original post

Do what frisbee91 suggests. If still not working correctly go too the $75 PIWIS 3 thread on our forum and buy it/set it up. It works great, and will cost less than a dealer visit for sure. Believe the PIWIS calibration repair is what you need to do ,,, maybe... JMO
