Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

10 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Just did a longer drive in my 2001 cab over the weekend, and by the end my elbows were hurting from the hard plastic on the arm rests (both the console and door). Are there good affordable options that look decent for making these softer touch?

POST 2Original post

Subscribed .. I'm also looking for higher & better padded armrest. I remember seeing a photo for one which will fit between the storage area & effectively will raise the armrest but no where to be bought from.

POST 4Original post

I just want the factory door armrest lids in Natural Brown instead of my current Chipped and Broken Burr Wood finish!

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yeah, I guess my first question is -- is there an OEM padded armrest option? I'd much prefer an OEM option that fits well and looks stock, but I'm not sure what to look for. I've seen console covers but I don't want to accidentally pay a bunch of money to get the same thing I already have.

There is a Porsche specialty shop in my area that recovers them. When they are done it looks like it came from the factory, but it's comfortable. You may have someone in your area that can pad and cover them.

POST 7Original post

Adding padding and better upholstery to the factory armrests is a fairly simple job - if you don't have anyone in your area who can do it, send it to me. We could add something like 1/4" of foam under new nappa leather if you wanted it to be super plush.

Super plush sounds super nice. I'll see if I can find someone local, but if I can't do you have a website?

Craft Customs in TX can restore them to new, the way they should be. 👍

POST 10Original post

I just installed a new center armrest cover with padding that I purchase from Redline Goods. It's great.
