Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Picked up my new to me 2003 base C2 this week, pretty happy with it except: 1) Frunk kept popping open on the trip home. Now it's popping open around town. Can I adjust this or does it require someone who knows what they're doing? 2) Cupholder face came off in my hand. Then cupholder absolutely refused to open at 2:00 pm today, repeatedly. Got it open at 2:30 pm, first try. Replaced the face and shut it. Don't think I'll be using it again. I'll drink when I get home. 3) Bose power amp quit on day 2. That story has its own post here: Bose amp: **** up - Rennlist - Porsche Discussion Forums Any comments or suggestions are welcome, thanks!

POST 2 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

More about this car: 2 owners, I am #3. 79k miles. VIN Analytics shows these option codes: 415 18" Turbo Look II wheels- Somebody pulled a switcheroo. I've been looking for a 996.2 for 4 months. Didn't like the Turbo Looks at first, preferred the Carreras. Now have to say I'm a little disappointed I didn't get the Turbo Looks. But these Carreras show pretty well, I think. 425 Rear Window Wiper- Somebody did a wiper delete. All that's left is a paint color correct button type hole filler where the wiper shaft used to be. Ok! X54 Stainless Steel Exhaust Pipes- (Should be "Tips" rather than "Pipes") The car was detailed pretty well at a Porsche dealer where I bought it. I tried to shine up the exhaust tips on my old 2006 Cayman S with Brasso, almost no improvement at all. Looks like the boys at the dealer didn't fare much better here. Any suggestions to brighten these up a little?

POST 4Original post

I had to shim down the U bolt affixed to the hood a little bit to make it latch properly.
