Hello all i bought my 996 carrera six month ago and its time for to change my tires at the moment are 235/40/18 and 265/40/18 service adviced me to change back tires to 265/35/18 because they would affect the aerodynamics of the car would it really have any affect on it ??

Because with 40mm sides they feek more confort and i dont want to loose my confort also please can someone advise me on that

The 40 does not refer to the height in millimeters but is the % of the tire width. In your case, 225/40 would be at the front and 265/35 or 285/30 at the rear.

Aerodynamics? Highly doubtful� What they (size) could/will affect if you�ve got all wheel drive (C4) is the viscous clutch. If this is the case you should definitely run the stock/recommended sizes.

Are you Sure about that? Normally it�s 235/40 and 295/30 or 225/40 and 285/30 / 295/30 But...what RIM Size did the guy run?

If those tires are OK, no problem running them till you wear them out. Then go with the stock sizes which is 225/40 in the front and 265/35 in the back.
