Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Looked clean but for that price I'd look at a Turbo.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

13 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

https://www.porschesanantonio.com/us...6acf806857.htm Saw this car sitting in the showroom earlier today at the local Porsche dealer. Looked clean but for that price I'd look at a Turbo.

POST 2Original post

I don't think anyone who actually buys this will drive it, probably stuff it into a climate controlled garage for the next 20 years.

POST 3Original post

that's a Collectors Car IE " Not to be driven" ..

^^^ You know it !!!

POST 6Original post

It wouldn't be original if it had the IMSB replaced. Lower value. Also, what is a 6 speed manual with overdrive? The old overdrives I'm familiar with were planetary gear sets attached to the output shaft. It takes a separate action to engage the overdrive. Rare indeed.

My understanding was that in anything remotely modern it was more about gear ratios of less than 1:1. In my old Corvette you could be cruising at 70mph in sixth gear and it would be barely ticking over 1,500 rpm and would get better than 30mpg. Of course it didnt accelerate particularly well but it was nice for long trips. Im new to water cooled Porsches but my impression is that the gears werent nearly of a ratio to be considered an overdrive. Maybe its some option?

POST 8Original post

- maybe, maybe if it had the natural brown interior

POST 9Original post

Would love to meet the bloke that purchases it. Surely they could cover the bar tab after explaining their reasoning.

POST 10Original post

A vinyl interior and not very many options. No thanks

POST 12Original post

I think it is an absolutely fair price because this means our 996 drivers are worth close to or over $50K I swear this is market correct😀 tell your friends! Rich
