Was still happening after 2nd repair, so Kenwood replaced the unit with a new one.

When I am using bluetooth to play music or listening to Sirius from my iPhone, the radio will lose the bluetooth connection, shut itself down completely, screen goes blank, then restarts itself, listens for iPhone and reconnects and starts playing again.

I have a Kenwood KMMBT732HD stereo that purchased from Crutchfield and installed in my 996.
When I am using bluetooth to play music or listening to Sirius from my iPhone, the radio will lose the bluetooth connection, shut itself down completely, screen goes blank, then restarts itself, listens for iPhone and reconnects and starts playing again.
It will do this randomly or more often when I adjust the volume **** up or down it will trigger this to happen.
It is intermittent, but usually always happens in a 15 minute drive.

Was still happening after 2nd repair, so Kenwood replaced the unit with a new one.
It is still happening with the new Kenwood unit.
Crutchfield wants me to remove the unit from my dash and trouble shoot it with a voltmeter while they are on the on the phone with me, but not sure how helpful this will be with an intermittent problem.
To me it seems more like a radio problem since I can most often reproduce it when I change the volume.
It never occurs when I am listening to just FM radio.
I am about ready to just buy an Alpine stereo and replace it to see if it resolves the issue.
I initially had an iPhone 11, now have an iPhone 14 and it still is happening.
Any thoughts would be welcome???

My first feeling is the unit is defective, but then I wonder... how did you wire the radio to the car? ISO wire harness OR cut cables and hard wire it to the factory wiring?
Yea, then based on your experience with Kenwood's service of that model, I would say that it could very well be the design issue with their units. I had the Alpine single DIN and never had a problem. Ran BT phone and streamed music. Worked like a charm!
