I had planned to have it running by next week Monday but am now preparing for a direct hit by Hurricane Lane this weekend...

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

11 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

It just dawned on me that my roller was down in March with a full tank. Is it to late to add a fuel stabilizer? I had planned to have it running by next week Monday but am now preparing for a direct hit by Hurricane Lane this weekend...

POST 2Original post

April, May, June, July, August...I would say that it is okay to add some stabilizer..that is not that long. And other people have to park their cars for 6-7 months for the winter.

POST 4Original post

Modern gas lasts a lot longer than the gas from 15-20 years ago. Throw some stabilizer in there and it will be fine.

POST 5Original post

I use seafoam for all of my cars and sometimes they sit as much as a year. Many swear by it. Amazon Amazon

POST 6Original post

Not my 996 but I have had my 93 300ZX sitting in the driveway pretty much since 2014. I do not remember last time I put fuel in it...maybe 2016. I go out and start it occasionally and it has never missed a beat. Runs smooth of course doesn't have OBD so it could be eating itself from the inside out and I wouldn't have a clue. Pop the fill cap(after the hurricane) and see if it smells like varnish. My bet is you will be fine.

POST 8Original post

My car was down for 18 months. I pumped the fuel out and burned it in the Suburban. No problems.

POST 9Original post

Wow! I fill my car up at least once a week, that's with the fuel light on! Come on guys, DRIVE YOUR CAR!!!!
