Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'm removing my console and the manual I'm using shows two screws inside the ashtray pocket. However, my car does not have screws that are exposed. In the pic below, are these plugs that snap out and the screws are underneath?

POST 2Original post

The screws go into those plugs, I believe your car is missing the two torx screws. They are less than a dollar at the dealership

POST 4Original post

Stupid question perhaps, but do those torx screws have a part number?

POST 5Original post

Yes they do 99959194140 $1.03 from autoatlanta. I'd say about the same from the dealership

POST 6Original post

Order the ashtray delete while you're at it. You can never have too many places to put stuff you should take into the house or throw away.

+996 on removing the ash try. Looks so much cleaner too. First mod I ever did to my 996.
