Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Is it possible to adjust my rear spoiler to make it sit flat? Looking at the rear end you can see the integrated tail light a little. I just need to adjust it 1/4-1-2" inch. Hoping there's an easy answer. Otherwise I will live with it.

POST 3Original post

Maybe a pic would assist? What year and what spoiler?

POST 4Original post

No it is not adjustable. It is when you do it manually via the button in the interior of the car. But it won't stay flat like you want the whole time. It will go to the programmed height.

POST 5Original post

I don't think I understand the question fully - changing the geometry of the spoiler will also affect its functionality; unless you have one of the adjustable aerokit spoilers, this seems like a bad idea. To the best of my knowledge, the stock spoiler has only two positions and is not adjustable. Is the issue that the spoiler is not retracting fully?

POST 6Original post

Sounds like when the spoiler drops or lowers to its "resting" position, its not sitting fully flush with the body panels. Is this the case???

POST 7Original post

Could it be that it is rubbing on one side and not closing properly. A bit of grease might help if the case.

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Sorry for going dark on this one. The front lip of the spoiler was not flush with the rest of the car. I found there are two adjustable rubber stops that I screwed out an 1/8" and now it sits perfectly. Here is a pic of the rubber bumper on the front right side.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
