Since I purchased my 996 this light wear on the bolster has bothered me and I would like to repair it. I make sure to not rub or slide down the seat when I get in but I would like to get it back to mint. My question is how have you guys addressed this issue and does anyone know anyone in Los Angeles/Orange County area that has done good work on theirs? I would be willing to drive it is worth it. Thanks!

I had the same issue. I took it to a shoe repair place that also repaired leather. The guy charged me $40 CAD and dyed those spots and they looked great after. Theres several threads here on leather repair with links to retailers that sell kits (just do a search). The kits have like a compound that you fill the rips or scratches with, then kinda sand it down and then dye it. Yours doesnt look too bad though, might not need any filler if you dye it.

Doesn't look too bad. Some leather dye, and possibly a little light sanding, will do wonders. Especially since it's black.
