The red arrow is the small end of the Autoleads harness that I ran into the car from the amp location in the trunk.

I'm having a brain cramp about how to connect the auto leads harness to the head unit and if I need to used any of the wires from the factory CDR23 harness.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

1 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Currently installing a double din head unit and aftermarket amp to bypass my factory MOST fiber optic deck and amp in my 2003 996 Turbo. I purchased the Autoleads PC2-95-4 harness to easily tap into the factory amp harness. I'm having a brain cramp about how to connect the auto leads harness to the head unit and if I need to used any of the wires from the factory CDR23 harness. Took some pics for reference mostconnections_zps4pcktiww.jpg The red arrow is the small end of the Autoleads harness that I ran into the car from the amp location in the trunk. The green arrow is the factory CDR23 harness. I also received the adapter harness below with my double din install kit from Suncoast Porsche. adapter%20harness_zpschjjt1gq.jpg Does the auto leads harness supply 12V power and ground? If so, I think I can just plug the Suncoast adapter into the autoleads adapter and wire the Suncoast adapter to my Pioneer head unit. Though install notes I've seen say you need the 12V power and powered antenna wires from the factory CDR23 harness. Thanks in advance!
