Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I just installed the uaos myself last month or Id tackle these.
Leading evidence: 'Install uaos myself last month or id tackle these' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'skakker has as well' (1 discussions; 0 report identifying it and 1 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Install uaos myself last month or id tackle these' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

I do know that FSI had tested many headers with their builds to see which ones actually provided benefits, and I suspect Skakker has as well.

I ended up using a set of studs since I had to drill out 3 bolts that broke when removing the exhaust manifolds.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

After getting a stage 1 chip/ROW tune I decided to add a set of headers to my 4S. Doing some searching around and not wanting to break the bank I decided on a set from JackSpania Racing. $600 for a set of equal length 304 Stainless was what I decided on. I was surprised when they showed up and the welds were very good for a set of headers this cheap. The flanges were straight and thick, the exhaust ports were pretty smooth with no weld material spray.
I ended up using a set of studs since I had to drill out 3 bolts that broke when removing the exhaust manifolds. I would go with shorter studs the next time, I got 55mm but I think 40mm would be ore than enough. The longer studs made it tough to get a deep socket on the nuts so I ended up welding a 10mm cats foot to a 10mm 12 point socket. I could get to all of the studs easily.
Other than that the headers bolted up just great, I need a persuader to get them fully seated, primarily due to tight tolerances getting the flange around all of the studs at the same time.
I cant comment on performance improvements as there's not much area to get any real speed around here. However, the sound is some improved.
And you can see I still have the water pump gasket to do yet again. I just cant get that bottom hole to seal up.

They may be a great set of headers. Dunno.
Back in the dark ages when the 996 first came out. The vast majority of us 996 owners didn't upgrade our headers when we upgraded our cats. The reason was that good 200 cell cats did provide mid range to upper range performance improvements. Headers on the other hand did not.
Along the way, it was discovered that properly configured/ported equal length long tube headers did provide a benefit. An example of this is when FVD Brombacher teamed up with M&M who makes the exhaust systems for Porsche Motorsports to develop a headers for the M96, which did provide a performance benefit that began lower in the rpm range.
One of the rumored issues that many of us long time 996 owners have heard over the years is that you have to be very careful with headers that are not properly sized/ported for the M96, because it may cause excess heat which can cause a multitude of problems. But unfortunately, I have no examples to share as to its accuracy or by manufacturer.
I do know that FSI had tested many headers with their builds to see which ones actually provided benefits, and I suspect Skakker has as well. FSI with LN have developed a proprietary header as well as cats that they offer for sale. For sure, FVD Brombacher/MM headers are for sale as well.
Smart man! I bought two sets from alibaba at $200 each shipped. I dont care about the name brand tbh because spending $1500-2400 for headers is wild. A lot of companies buy these right from china and then Add their logo. I, myself, dont have issues spending $$$ on my car but this is 100% the way to go. Trying to find cheaper x pipes are much tougher to do. I just installed the uaos myself last month or Id tackle these. tool or having an exhaust shop bang this out.
Heres a picture of mine.
The stomski tool is pretty great. I had 3 bolts shear and the stomski tool did a good job. I still had to coil 2 holes, but getting those 3 out was really only a couple of hours work.
My experience so far had been pretty good. I dont see another $1k buying fabspeed would do any better for my needs. The flanges were perfectly flat and the holes had perfect alignment. Im pretty happy with them as far as they go. Now looking g for a non cat x pipe.
I got lucky as well and bought some brand new ones off Ebay for $125...lol...yes $125 shipped from China. They actually fit really well and worked great. I did end up selling them as I was putting the car back to stock and sold them for $400! Hindsight being 20/20 I should have kept them!
I liked the sound. A little more throaty than the stock exhaust. Sounded good at the track, not as good as PSE though. At idle it was definitely a deeper sound.
I have a couple of cold start videos over on marketplace you could probably find using my username. I can't load them from my cellphone because the file type is incorrect.
