Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

And that was from a "reputable" high end used car lot.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Thanks to everyone that provided invaluable advice. Picked up a 2003 45000 mile 72000 km black 996 this past week. No accidents. I think the only options is Bose cdr23. Thats the way I wanted it. Very clean example. Ppi was clean. Leak down and borescope were clean. Even has a 2017 Porsche branded battery. IMS Solution being installed in a couple weeks. Likely clutch, rms and aos for sure.
here are some pics
Beautiful! I love your wheels! They're my favorite! I wish my car had been that shiny and prepped when I picked it up, you should have seen it, swirls everywhere, very rough. And that was from a "reputable" high end used car lot.
Congrats and welcome! My 996 ownership began just over two weeks ago and I'm definitely enjoying it. It looks like you have a beautiful example, enjoy!
Congratulations. Beautiful car. Black is my favorite sports car color. Love the turbo twist wheels too. Those look like the correct versions for the narrow body. Many people have tried taking the wide body versions and mount them on the narrow body and the rear just don't look right.
And thank you for 808Bill letting me know you bought it. I didn't see you follow up on the last thread.
