I had the plugs replaced 25K miles and 5 yrs ago, but it had updated 997 coils on it from previous owner so I didn't have those replaced.

Hi all - honest to G-d, I was driving on the highway today thinking about tools needed to clear a P021 code causing my airbag warning light to stay on... when that issue became secondary. Car started running really rough, CEL lit up. Luckily I was a couple miles from home, so I limped home and plugged in the Durametric. Codes: P0300 Misfire damaging to cat converter P0304 Same as above for Cylinder 4 P1319 Misfire emissions relevant P1316 Same as above for Cylinder 4 So - based on 30 mins of research. I had the plugs replaced 25K miles and 5 yrs ago, but it had updated 997 coils on it from previous owner so I didn't have those replaced. So I'm thinking it's more likely the coil. I plan to (after figuring out how) swap cyl 4 coil with another cylinder, and see if the codes change. Then we know it's a bad coil, and I should replace all 6. Does this seem like the right first step? And if bad, replace all coils? And maybe go ahead and replace plugs too since I'm told they might only last another 5K miles?

this sounds like the right 1st step to prove its a bad coils, and yes personally i would do all the coils and plugs.
