As said here, a good scanner and taking the time to understand the readings, or ask here to learn what the scanner codes/readings mean, will put you on the right road to quicker, more satisfying, successful repairs using tools that allow a logical step by step process of elimination.

New owner to a 2001 996 with 80k miles. Car runs great except for an occasional rough idle and it sometimes shuts off completely while driving just to start right back up and drive fine. I can�t figure out what�s causing it. So far we�ve cleaned the throttle body, replaced the DME relay and replaced the MAF sensor. I haven�t gotten the stall on camera yet but I�ll attach what the rough idle looks like. It�s such a perfect car except for these little moments that ruin the experience. What else could it be? People online seem to suggest vacuum leaks, ignition switch (seems fine) and maybe CPS. I can�t identify a pattern. Where would y�all suggest I look next? Any advice appreciated.

The first thing i would invest in is some diagnostic equipement. Some u can borrow from autoparts store like a fuel pressure gauge, and u need to log some values and see what drops off or u will just be during the parts cannon at the car.

You are describing classic symptoms of crank position sensor,CPS. Cheap and easy repair. Just do it. But I also agree with diagnostic equipment. Buy a quality scanner(foxwell). You won't regret it. Information is king
