Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I know the tires on the 4C need to be the same overall diameter so in looking around at alternatives to the recommended brands, I found that the Falken Azenis tires in 245/40ZR18 front and 315/30ZR18 rear are in the right range (25.5 vs 25.6in).

The 315 width is recommended for wheels 10.5 - 11.5 with an 11in width being ideal.

Anyone run these - I've used them on other cars and although their rain traction can be poor, for street driving they have great dry performance.

Aside from aesthetics, Im not convinced running wider rubber on these cars is really worth the possible compromises.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 2Original post

There are folks that run this wide. What alignment values do you plan to run and what driving characteristics do you want to have? I have stock 265s on my C2 and never have any traction problems in the rear - ever. My car also doesnt understeer, and I will probably get 20,000+ miles on my tires. Aside from aesthetics, Im not convinced running wider rubber on these cars is really worth the possible compromises. Unless of course you want to run on the track and have more traction in the turns.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

The stock width's on the 4CS is 295 so this isn't all that much wider. Not really sure on the alignment values - my shop sets it for lively driving using my weight in the driver's side during the process and it feels great. What compromises would you say would result from the 295 to 315 difference aside from weight, assuming I had it re-aligned during the install? I'm likely going to add spacers as well since the wheels all seem a bit tucked in.
