Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion
The symptoms that led me to replacing the latch were that the window would drop when the door was opened, but as soon as I let go of the handle, the window would go up again even though the door was still open.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

The door opens fine from the inside. The only problem is when opening from the outside. I need to push the door in a little and it "clicks" then I'm able to open it. If I don't do the push i can sit there forever lifting the latch and it wont open. Do you think i just need a new door latch assembly?
It kind of sounds like you do but it's not a cheap part. Does the window drop when you use the outside handle and does the window remain down while the door is open?

I could put my finger in the slot an manually push the lever in and the window would drop again. Replacing the latch assembly fixed the issue.
The latch assembly is > $200.
the window makes a noise, not sure if it drops, but it never did and i never had any problems opening the door. It just seems to me more locking mechanism related due to the fact I can hear the click the i push the door and it opens right up.
So you have to put inward pressure on the door to latch it before it will open?
If so, it sounds a lot like your door isn't fully latched when it is closed. The latching mechanism has a cammed arm that may not be completely closing.
Before throwing a latch mechanism at it, you could try adjusting the striker pin outward so the latch is in a better position to fully close. Maybe mark the original location before you move it, so you can put it back if it doesn't help.
