It's not the window binding: I removed the motor for testing and it would only run for a very short time before stopping.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I replaced the drivers door latch, everything worked fine. A couple of weeks later the drivers door window regulator gave up. Replaced that. Now the window doesn't drop when opening the door, even after resetting it several times, and, while the window drops normally, it only goes up about an inch at a time. Occasionally it'll sense a "pinch" and drop all the way down. It's not the window binding: I removed the motor for testing and it would only run for a very short time before stopping. My guess is that the load sensing circuitry has somehow gotten damaged such that it now has a poor connection in the lift circuit, causing it to sense a higher than normal amperage draw. The Bently book doesn't show the circuit within the motor assembly. Any ideas where I can find that diagram? Thanks

POST 2Original post

Ugh. Feel your pain...and this has me worried that my issie with the window not dropping when opening the door is more than just a new door latch. -someone who's done his regulators twice in 1 year.
