Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion

At least with the model I chose, the F14, you need to run a hubcentric ring, but I have had no ill effects and for a winter wheel that'll get thrashed the price is right.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I just purchased a set of forgelin 18" wheels for my 2002 996 TT I want to put winters on it, but dont want the skinny tire look where the rim edge is exposed can anyone recumbent a winter tire set up for a 996t with 12" x 18" rears and 9"x18" front that is within spec so as not to damage the diff. I can't seem to find 325 or 315 rear snows

POST 2Original post

235/40R18 front, 315/30R18 rear is the only tire that will fit those rims, AND fit on the car AND be within spec for the AWD system. 245/40R18 fronts MAY fit, but may not. You won't find winter tires for these wheels. You will need to buy 8" and 10" rims.

POST 3Original post

Forgestar let's you choose custom offsets for their wheels, so you can buy an 18x10 rear with offset that puts even a 10 inch wheel flush with the fender of a 996tt. At least with the model I chose, the F14, you need to run a hubcentric ring, but I have had no ill effects and for a winter wheel that'll get thrashed the price is right. Actually MUCH lighter than the stock twists. I run Blizzak LM-32 in the following specs. Fits nice and flush: Front: 18x8.5 ET44, 235/40 18 Rear: 18x10, ET25, 275/35 18
