Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have a '99 C2 cabrio and a (new to me) hardtop. I installed it for the winter... and now it leaks like a raging flood. The footwells are wet and it's starting to smell like a science experiment. Is there a link to the proper procedure to adjust the top (as opposed to the DIY method I used!). Thx, Craig.

POST 2Original post

Not sure how that can possibly be unless the front was not seated properly... in which case the squeaking and rattling would be obvious. Did you pull the lever in the center to securely latch the install? When mine is on, it's a drum.

POST 3Original post

It could be that the drains are clogged and not that the top is leaking.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I've put the soft top back up and all is good for now. The water seems to come in from the right front upper corner. Also, I notice that window sometimes hits the side window seals/overhang when closing. I do have the upper clamp pretty tight. Where are the drains located?
