Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Are "stock" springs available, or am I better off looking for used ones?
Leading evidence: 'Use ones' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Use ones' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Brought my 996 to work for the first time today and ... it doesn't like the ramp down to my car park at all. Or rather, it
really
doesn't like the ramp up again, as I found out when I took a colleague out for a ride at lunchtime.
The car park attendant suggested taking the ramp at an angle when I leave this evening, which I'll try. But I'm wondering if I need to consider a suspension "downgrade". I like the look of the car with the H&Rs but if I have to raise it a little so be it.
Are "stock" springs available, or am I better off looking for used ones? From what I've read, swapping the springs out looks to be doable although if I decide it needs done quickly I might just get a local indy to do it.
Cheers!
[edit: thought it might help if I explain that the problem has to do with the ramp having a couple of "steps" in the middle, so it looks like this - not to scale, obviously!]:

youre going to gain about 1/2 - 3/4 " I think your driving ability would make a bigger difference in scraping than raising the car. for my car its maybe a 95% issue that there would be a small scrape from the way I drive up on an obstacle as opposed to a %5 issue that the car was too low
Yeah sorry about my crappy artwork. Hopefully you get the idea.
Anyway it turns out the car park attendant was spot on. I took the ramp slowly at a 45 degree angle and all was fine. He tells me "that's what the other Porsche does".
OKB - looks like you were right
Buzz - the H&Rs appear to have earned a temporary reprieve. I'll let you know if I change my mind.
Thanks y'all!
Whilst we are on the topic of grinding the front end...anyone gone with a front end lift kit to solve this issue? Experiences to share?
