I would pull out the bottom lining and use a stout piece of wood and hammer that back out as best as you can.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My 99 C4 has a dent under the frunk, probably a PO mishap. What is there (I know there is a transaxle)? Is it just the sheet metal on the bottom of the frunk or is it a cover that can be replaced? What are those 2 bolts attaching? If I can't replace it, can just spray some undercoating to match the existing?

POST 2Original post

Solid metal. You can probably access that from above in the bottom of the frunk. I would pull out the bottom lining and use a stout piece of wood and hammer that back out as best as you can. A quick coat of undercoating is a really good idea.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have an all wheel drive and there is an transaxle there all covered up. I am not sure how difficult it is to get under the all wheel drive unit.
