Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 3Original post

The 996 turbos have really jumped in price. I am looking at turbos now and decided on a 997 as the price gap not that big from a 996. Nice to see these cars picking up value. Both the 996/997 turbos are huge bang for your buck.

POST 4Original post

Looks like a decent deal to me. I looked at a manual 996 turbo with 130K+ miles about this time last year and it was $39K locally. It had been driven very hard, so I passed. I'd rather own this one, over the 996 Turbo I looked at last year, since it has less than half the miles, even though it has a tip. I'd rather own my manual NA C2 over both of these due to cost.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for your input. I agree. I am hoping to buy a 911 within the year and I have been browsing for the last month or so. I wasn't thinking of a turbo till I saw some of the 996's. I still think I am going to go for a 2008-2009 C2S or C4S coupe manual with <50K miles and <=$50. I have seen some. The good ones with my color combo go quick on here. Cargurus seems to be on point in regards to pricing. Even the euro dealers have good prices, not much different from privates sellers.
