Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Outcome without a verified action link

I got the frunk open using the fuse post and jumped the car off the battery, once started and driving the spoiler dropped back to normal.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I accidentally left the key in the car with the ignition on yesterday but the car not running, totally my fault. When I came out to the car later as I walked up to it I noticed the rear spoiler was up, then realized I had a totally deal battery. I got the frunk open using the fuse post and jumped the car off the battery, once started and driving the spoiler dropped back to normal. I had a look in the manual and couldnt see anything about the spoiler raising with a dead battery, is it some really clever Porsche trick to give you access to the engine to jump the car off the engine posts?, if so how do you open the engine cover manually?, I looked with the spoiler raised but couldnt see anything obvious.

POST 2Original post

I just went thru the same situ, yesterday Replaced the battery in July and lo and behold I got a defective Bosch from Pep Boys Had the frunk and engine cover up and when I closed the cover, the spoiler was deployed

one thing for sure, it adds value

POST 5Original post

If it was a cab you may have found the top and windows down, but only if it was raining. As the battery goes flat strange things start to happen. your engine release cable is coiled up under the left taillight.
