Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I need to run a switched positive wire from the fuse box into the Frunk, one that powers up when the ignition is turned on, what's the best and easiest route forward?

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

11 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 2Original post

Look at post #6 in this thread. https://rennlist.com/forums/996-foru...bose-most.html

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks but that doesn't tell me how to run the wire through the firewall and into the frunk, unless I missed something?

POST 4Original post

that gives you a good source for the power, but no, it does not tell you how to get through the firewall. Once you remove the head unit and some of the other bits from the center console, you can see where the wires go through. There is no firewall in front per-se, since it's an ***-engined **** slot car, after all

POST 6Original post

There is a rubber pass-through plug in the firewall. You'll see other wires coming through there.

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

yes I do have an amp and a CD changer I'm not using but I think it may be disconnected?

POST 8Original post

Might be worth checking if the amp had switched power you could borrow, but I'm guessing that is constant since its already "switched" by the remote turn on coming from the head unit. What kind of amperage draw are you expecting from what you're hooking up?
