Would anyone know if the 996tt tiptronic engine harness is the same as a manual harness. I need to locate a complete engine harness for a manual car and all I can find at the moment is one from a Tip car. Any advice is much appreciated. Thanks.

I don't have specific knowledge to help with your question, but what I did learn when I did my wiring harness swap is that some harnesses have a lot more wires and connectors in them than others. My car is a base model manual transmission, with very few options, so that wasn't a big deal - I just have a bunch of unused wiring and connectors in my harness - but if you were moving in the other direction, you may need to think about this. The only wiring going to the manual transmission was the reverse light switch, and that existed in the replacement harness. The reason this isn't terribly helpful to you is that I don't know if the donor was a tip or a manual - for the $80 I paid on an ebay buy-it-now, I wasn't asking questions.
