I don't know how to "empty" the canister for oil changes, thereby always leaving some old oil inside the canister.

I recently bought a 99 coupe that saw some track use. The PO installed an Accusump system in the car. I have 2 minor issues with the set-up: 1. The oil filter was relocated to an area under the car that makes it a little PIA to change. 2. I don't know how to "empty" the canister for oil changes, thereby always leaving some old oil inside the canister. Since I have no plans to track the car, I've been thinking I'd rather just remove the whole set-up and go to an LN spin-on adapter. So is there any value in a used Accusump system like mine? Anyone local to OC interested? If I don't track the car, the Accusump will never serve any purpose, is this correct?

You should never need an Accusump if you are running the car on the street with street tires. The Accusump is for oil starvation during long, high-G corners... If you decide to unload it, the spec boxster crowd is probably a good audience.

If the car has oiling upgrades, you might also have some other "goodies" that might be worth unloading...the accusump isn't exactly a "casual" upgrade...
