Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

1 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

As the rubbers in my previous transmission mount were crumbled to dust and that it was replaced due to urgency with a new OEM mount. I have the old mount here lying around. I ordered from FVD sport bushes for upgrading this mount. See the bushes below. Curious to know if it is an easy job to do myself to put the new bushes in place. What would be the procedure to correctly fit these bushes into the old mount once I cleaned it up and removed all the leftovers from the old bushes. I see the bushes have grooves too increase friction once fitted into te mount. Do they need to be fixed with some kind of glue, locktite paste or silicone. Or is it just a mechanical fixation, i.e. I put the bushes in the freezer and heat up the mount and let thermal expansion and contraction do the work?
