Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Leading evidence: 'Replace **** and the relay' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Adjust intermittent wiper speed' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. I test drove it in the rain and it didn't seem to change the intermittent speed at all.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

What is it? How do I fix it?
You might have the auto sensing wipers. If so, the **** changes the sensitivity.
Porsche sucks with wipers systems period. Sometimes the auto sensing wiper brain gets stuck and you need to rotate one click to wake it up.
The sensor is above the mirror seen from the outside.
The wipers were so bad on mine that I just removed them all together (just put a little extra rain-x in the tank)... I dropped 1.2 lbs off my curb weight - I figure that's good for about 2 hundredth's time savings on my next trip to the outback steakhouse...

Yeah, I have that **** yet it does not work.. and I have replaced both the **** and the relay. Besides checking the wiring I am not sure what else I can do. So I just adjust as needed and applied Rain-X! I agree, with others Porsche's wiper systems are not the best. My wipers on my 964 were iffy.
Besides the left-handed ignition, its my favorite **** on the car. I find that mine works perfectly. There is almost an infinite amount of vairability to account for just about any rain scenario, and I even adjust it many times while driving, etc.
I dont have the poor wiper issue that some have mentioned. The wipers on my car work great, although Ive found that most 911s above 80mph dont even need wipers - the rain just beads up and off over the windshield. Ive experienced this on multiple different 911 models.
Also, rain in a Cabriolet mostly runs over the cabin - again, above 80mph. Ive been in the rain with the top down and been completely dry even while raining. This is great when there are intermittent downpours that only last a couple mins, or great when you can keep driving to pull over under a bridge to stop and put the top up - staying pretty much dry the whole time.
You have to marvel at Porsche designer to account for these things. These are some of the reasons these cars are so great.
X2. I wish my other cars had something similar. We get 60+ inches of rain here...I have found the 911 wipers to be quite good. Agree with the others who find the whole concept of wipers becomes moot at speed.
