I think I spent $11 to replace all instead of paying that a piece through the dealer.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

When trying to remove an exhaust tip on my 03 996 I sheared off one of the bolts. Does anyone know where I can purchase a new bolt and nut? I think it's a M10 SS Coach Bolt maybe 20mm in length.
I looked at Ace, AutoZone Lowes etc. I also called my local Porsche dealer and they were no help.
Thanks for the link, unfortunately the bolt is not listed on it. I'm sure that's why the Porsche dealer could not tell me what it is. The image in the diagram has the tip welded to the tailpipe where mine is bolted on and has a slot in the tip for front to back adjustment.
#29 - they have the clamp with integrated bolts for $11.25 - great price! I wound up going to a local hardware store with an excellent variety of nuts and bolts. I found Stainless steel carriage bolts in the proper size (I don't remember what it is off hand) for about $4-5 ea. including nut, flat washer and lock washer.
I'm not looking for a clamp but simply the bolt. The clamp holds the the tailpipe to the exhaust, where I'm simply attaching the decorative tip to the tailpipe.
I was trying to get a proper size SS bolt but I may just go that route and get something close.
As dporto mentioned, they can be found at Lowes, Home Depot or any hardware store for that matter. I removed mufflers when replacing my coil packs recently and replaced all the rusty nuts and bolts with stainless steel carriage bolts/nuts. Most were 15mm IIRC. I think I spent $11 to replace all instead of paying that a piece through the dealer. I'm a big fan of oem parts, but only when it actually makes a difference.
That would be #22 - and that bolt is integrated with the clamp as well... It's an unusual bolt which you won't find on it's own

at $8 it's not a big spend...
My bad, i guess my C4s is different. The decorative tip is held on by the same type of bolt/nut as the rest of the exhaust, other than it being a bit smaller... maybe it's a PSE thing.
try your local Fastenal
you'll have to improvise a bit, but for a buck or two a
solution can be had
I stopped at 1/2 dozen local exhaust shops with the very same
broken assembly and,...no joy
