Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

1 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

So I had my clutch replaced in January along with a slew of maintenance items . I purchased this 04 C4S Cab. in December. A few weeks ago I heard a metal snap in my clutch. Soon after I noticed my cruise control was not working all the time. So I took her to my indy. He found the clutch pedal spring (996 423 081 20) was broken and returning to rest position. He also replaced the clutch pedal switch (996 613 114 01) and brake light switch (996 613 113 02) because he was there. So all is fixed and good to go. Does your 996 clutch pedal feel like it could be on a Honda Civic? My clutch is so light it is a little disturbing and will take time to get used too. I now feel the clutch engage 1/2 way up and fully engage 3/4. This is a good thing because prior to this repair the clutch didn't engage until nearly rest position or at the top. I do not plan on removing the spring like others have but this will take some getting used too. The heavy clutch pedal was kind of nice. Keep on Rollin. Track days are upon us, yahoo.....
