Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I believe my engine is ROW, though it has been changed before I bought the car, so I'm not sure. Would Durametric report a value for the bank 2 sensor even if there is none? I'm getting -9 on bank 1 and -6 on bank 2. I'm asking because I am curious about how the software works. I'm going to change the pads straight away. This is a 2.5L Boxster engine, but I believe it behaves the same as the early 3.4L software-wise.

POST 2Original post

You can check if the bank 2 sensor is there. This thread shows some info on an engine that's without the bank 2 sensor. Was the cam deviation read after the engine was fully warmed up? My understanding is if it reads non-zero, there got to be a sensor. http://www.renntech.org/forums/topic...nk2-no-sensor/

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

According to that thread the value is zero if there is no sensor. Can this be confirmed? If ROW shows zero I must have a US engine even though I live in Europe and the car is European. Strange.

POST 4Original post

You can also monitor actual cam angle for both banks in Durametric and if you see reading in bank 2, that's another proof you got a sensor there.
