Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Recently when I close my top, it sometimes will not close and comes in and out of the latch... When it does close, the central locking light and the dash alarm light blinks for 21 times quickly and then goes into the normal blinking... I have read the service manual and if I am understanding it right, this signifies "safe mode..." I have never seen my car do this before? What do the blinking lights signify and did I just miss them and is that normal or? Help me Obi_wan, you're my only hope...

POST 2Original post

Check the hook assembly at the latch. They can crack and prevent the top from fully closing.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

It has been checked and is not cracked... Any insight as to the lights? I have never seen them before...

POST 4Original post

Sorry, that's the extent of my expertise. I haven't had that issue (knock on wood).

POST 5Original post

Have you checked the hydraulic fluid level ? You could be a tic low and its running out before it closes.. (Seriously wild guess... )
