Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I was replacing my alternator and a vacuum line broke/ pulled out of wherever it was plugged in. It's one of the ones coming off the valve that sits right above the alternator. Can anyone tell me where this line leads. This car is my DD and I need to get her running again.

POST 2Original post

Looks like mine goes from that white block back over the top of the alternator. Feel around back there and use a piece of rubber hose to connect the two pieces.

POST 4Original post

I replaced all of my plastic lines with silicone hose. Used to old lines for junctions. Seems to be a better solution.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Here are two more photos of what I can see

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I just went out and looked. I'm having a heck of a time finding anywhere for it to connect. Not seeing what is in the photo

POST 7Original post

So from that angle looking straight in to the left you should see that bell looking thing (vacuum reservoir) The second plenum is then... you guessed it behind the first - its rotated so the front will look like it has nothing on it but the hose comes from the back.

POST 8Original post

Get a telescopic mirror from the auto parts store and a flashlight...You'll find it.

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for the quick responses, I was able to get running again last night.
