Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Does anyone know how to adjust the spring in the middle of the top! The spring keeps the edge of the top from going over the grove or under. Thanks

POST 2Original post

Is yours coming out of the groove? I don't think the spring is adjustable, usually what happens is the tab if hooks to the top is torn off or the spring is broken.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

The spring is still good. If I pull on the spring the top goes back in the grove. Drivers side the top is over the lip and passengers side is pulled in too far. If I pull of push on the spring everything lines up but I can't be on both sides at the same time.

POST 4Original post

If the spring is too tight, I was told you can stretch the spring (irreversibly) using plastic deformation: by pulling the spring too far past where it should go. If you have a spring thats not tight enough, the spring needs to be replaced.
