Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Let me know if you make it to the Houston area!
I’ve added a lot of miles to mine too.
It went from garage queen to daily driver when I bought it.
I’ve added 10K in 11 months.
Previously it was driven less than 3K per year.
I‘ll probably add 12K per year going forward.
These cars were meant to be driven!
Tomorrow at 8:30 is the Katy PCA get together.
That’s just just a 2 1/2 hour drive for you.
Get up at 6:00 and put 360 miles(round trip) on your 996 tomorrow.
My wife had an accident on Monday and is still trying to get over it.
So I‘ll be just hanging out at the house.
I‘ll be doing cleaning and laundry that she can’t do for now.
I might sneak out to the get together if she is still asleep around 8.
Nice, I love seeing cars rack up the miles. I drive mine 4-5 days per week, but I guess I live relatively close to work with a 44 mile drive round trip.
I've put almost 9k miles on my 1999 C2 since February 16 this year.. this week she'll be rolling over 180k and no sign of letting up... everything I can see points to it being the original engine too!
This is just a little proof that the 996 is more reliable than most people believe. These are great cars in spite of their shortcomings. If you address those things, you should have many many miles of smiles!
Just put 6k miles since April and loving it as my DD! getting ready to buy some snow tires for the winter but having a hard time finding some rear ones (265/35/18) any ideas?
I have 285/30R18s on my C2, so check other sizes.
They don't rub at all.
I know nothing about snow tires, so I don't know if they come in that size or not.
We don't see any real snow down here. (1/4" of snow every 7 years just ain't REAL snow)
sigh... on the way home from work this morning will be another milestone. Turning 180k on my 99 C2 6mt/LSD. Super light and no other options. Bought it Feb 16 of this yr at 171k and change, immediately took it to Werks Reunion in FL, Spring Break in Asheville, rt 129 and Dahlonega in N GA mountains.. and daily driven at least 40 miles a day 4 days a week. Love it more every time I drive it. Planning a refresh at 200k when not if she makes it, and I'll keep on going.
