Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Funny enough its apart in the driveway having the cats swapped back in for the smog test at the moment!
Leading evidence: 'Replace back in' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Replace back in' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. Suggestion
Lately Ive also been running the factory ROW tune which does not look for post cat sensors, but this was to delete the secondary air pump until I get the Evo bracket to make room for the intake.

Suggestion
Occasionally it will set a passive code, but never trips the CEL.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I have a 996 C4 . I have Muffler deletes on and I think it sounds good. Not too loud. When I put them on, I started to get 420 and 430 codes ugh. I have a set of cat deletes. Thinking about putting them on. Any thoughts?
I'm also in a state with a yearly inspection(NY). I get a CEL every 100-150 miles with my cats deleted. What I do when my inspection is almost due is clear the CEL if it's on and drive about 50ish miles for the monitors to read ok. The hp increase is worth the hassle in my opinion.
I run a Catless Xpipe in an emission state. Funny enough its apart in the driveway having the cats swapped back in for the smog test at the moment!
Its not a terrible driveway job.
I use O2 spacers and do not get a CEL. Occasionally it will set a passive code, but never trips the CEL.

I certainly prefer to not get used to a CEL being on, because if you are in a sporty drive or track day and something serious starts failing (cam actuators, mixture, etc) you wont know because the light will already be on.
Scott here at Fabspeed Motorsport, putting cat deletes will make for more trouble. Have you considered a set of O2 spacer Mini-Cats? We have a set that use actual catalytic cells. Take a peek and feel free to reach out for forum pricing!

For the ROW tune, I have access to a PIWIS tester...and can flash back before smog.
Without access to one it could get very expensive having to reflash every emissions check. That said, you could pay most shops with a factory tester to flash it.
