Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Recently started happening, I noticed that when i go over bumps when the AC is on, there are electrical sparking sounds coming from the driver foot well fuse box. I opened the cover and made sure the fuses are all fully inserted and they are. I took out the fuse for the AC, looks intact. I turned the AC off and the sparking sound goes away instantly. Comes back when I turn AC on. what is this from? Thanks!

POST 2Original post

Likely the electrical connection in back of the fuse box have come loose. You need to fix it ASAP. That could cause an electrical fire or damage to the DME or other sensitive electrical components.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Has anyone done this? Easy DIY? Can someone walk me through it so I don't get electrocuted or damage the car?

POST 4Original post

Disconnect the negative lead on the battery first, then you have nothing to worry about. See this diagram and you will note where the screws are that hold in the fuse box. It really is pretty simple to just lower the fuse box to get behind it to see what is going on. A short will be pretty evident. Make note of where the AC fuse is located so when you are behind the fuse box you can check those wires. Note - if you have a radio that needs a code, find it before disconnecting the negative lead. http://www.autoatlanta.com/porsche-p...section=902-00

POST 5Original post

Step 1 is to disconnect the negative battery cable. That will protect your car. Step 2 would be to remove the carpet cover. Step 3 remove the fuse box and see if you can find the loose connection in back.
