A lot of the components on these cars have to be swapped due to time regardless of miles.

With that few of miles you need to make sure the oil was changed every six months and that they have receipts.

I did send my first oil change sample to Blackstone as well and results came back clean.

Get a PPI from someone that knows what they are doing, go for a 30 minutes test drive to see how the car feels, and in the end, probably plan to spend $2-3 K on updating the car.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi Gang,
I'm looking at a 1999 911 with very low miles, approx 15,000 miles and an aero kit. The car is in fantastic condition and is in essentially as new condition. Original IMS with no real warranty work ever completed on the car. The question is what is something like this worth? I'm thinking 25-27 is a fair price but wanted to make sure I was in the right ballpark as the ask is in the 30's.
Appreciate the help
Mike
Pics and options would help. Very low mileage for a 99 so I would be concerned about dried up seals (RMS and such). However, a 99 will have a dual row IMS bearing, which is a plus plus on that issue. Get a PPI from someone that knows what they are doing, go for a 30 minutes test drive to see how the car feels, and in the end, probably plan to spend $2-3 K on updating the car. $25-27K is definitely more than a fair price...but with all respect, I'm thinking more like $21-23K, even with aero kit. The car is nearly 20 years old.
I think you'd be lucky if get it for $25. With that mileage and aero, I think it would go for $27. At that mileage, I'd probably swap the IMS - which you could use to negotiate the price. Be sure to do a PPI that involves checking the oil and filter.
I think many on here would agree that they'd rather buy a driver and spend money on preventative maintenance. A lot of the components on these cars have to be swapped due to time regardless of miles. My 19K car has had to have the same thing done as much higher mileage cars.
Either way, good luck. I think the aero's are among the nicest looking 996s.
With that few of miles you need to make sure the oil was changed every six months and that they have receipts. Otherwise factor a new engine into your first year TCO.
FYI I purchased my GR 6MT aero with 23k miles for $27k. I feel it was a premium, but it was exactly what I wanted and have loved every second of it. I did however have the IMS and other bits addressed right off the bat just because. No PPI and bought sight unseen. Some will fear the car, some will say go for it. I did send my first oil change sample to Blackstone as well and results came back clean.
Do you have more info on the car? Is it a color combo you want? Trans? Picture of the options sticker?
The emotional factor is pretty big when you're dealing with Porsches, particularly the more distinct ones. 99 aero's with more miles and rebuilt engines are pushing $20.

I bought a '99 with 25k miles and full service records for $22k, if that helps pricing yours. It was a base silver on blue C2 and the only option was Hi-Fi stereo.
I bought my 99 with 31000 miles on it about 3 years ago for $22,000. It is in really great shape except the front end is sandblasted because the car came from Reno Nevada. One owner for 15 years and another owner for one year. I wouldn't pay 30 grand for that car that you're talking about. 25 is probably about as much as I would.
