yeah, I could use a car cover but that won't protect it as well as this stuff, and I still get to look at my car while I'm working in there

once spring rolls around, I'll just use some hot soapy water and peel it off.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

12 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My garage sees a lot of traffic and it is used througout the year, I'm currently rebuilding a 97 VMAX snowmobile in it now. Kids are constantly coming in and out....my 20 month old loves daddy's cars and always has her mits on them. so....I decided to paint my entire car with road warrior plus paint protection while it is sitting in the garage being stored. you roll it on and it takes about an hour to fully dry. Gives a good layer of protection from my kids hands and me rubbing against it to get into the tight spots of my garage. It's already paid for itself as another one of my spawns wanted to help me shovel the driveway and hit the porsche with the shovel. No damage though! This stuff works as advertised! ! once spring rolls around, I'll just use some hot soapy water and peel it off. Also great for temporary paint protection at the track. Roll it on and peel it off! here it is being rolled on. It dries clear but with a texture. This isn't something I'd leave on like a clear bra....but temporarily? Without a doubt. yeah, I could use a car cover but that won't protect it as well as this stuff, and I still get to look at my car while I'm working in there

POST 2Original post

Got any pictures of it once it dries? Very interesting concept. Tempted to do the nose of my Daily for the winter...

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Not on my phone. I'll grab some 2nite. it isn't pretty, you can tell there's something there. Lots of texture/orange peel to it but you can also feel how this would protect it better than the ceramic coating it has on now. I rolled it on, instructions say you can spray it on also. I'd imagine there would be a lot less texture if sprayed on. I was thinking of doing my entire mini van with it while it does its winter duties. I just polished and ceramic clear coated the van and I would like an extra layer of protection from those snow brushes

That looks like great stuff - didn't even know it existed. Would be great for those summer cross country trips with love bugs, and butterflies smashing against the front end.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

That's exactly what it is advertised for. Temporary paint protection for those road trips. Once you're done your road trip, just peel it off. https://www.roadwarriorplus.com I just thought of it as I was watching my kids rub against the paint with her winter jacket. I can't yell at a 20 month old child....she doesn't know better but I also knew I couldn't just let it happen again. Now I don't even bat an eye while the kids are playing in the garage.

For my northern friends: https://www.canadacarcare.ca/collect...Road%20Warrior

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yeah, that's what I mostly use it for. I apply some on the front bumper, hood and the sides around the tires before I head out to the track. Once done, I go home and peel it off

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Dried on - lots of texture to it but it will do the job of protecting the paint while I'm working in the garage. 1 quart did 2 coats on the entire car, took me about 1.5 hours to roll on the paint. I'm going to try sparing it on my minivan and see if that will help with the texture.

POST 10Original post

If my wife ever gave me an ultimatum to sell my car I would cover it with this and tell her I cant figure out why its not selling

POST 11Original post

That texture so aggressive, I can already see my DD's low fuel economy plummet even further.

POST 12 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yeah, it isn't to be applied for you to win the next Show & Shine but probably something you'd peel off at one to keep it shiny on the way. I think it will be great at protecting my DD from the snow brushes over the winter...and it will be covered in salt anyways so I don't really care for paint depth. here's a good video showing it being applied and removed.
