Lot's of threads about dorr windows failure to drop when door handle pulled. Most recommend replacing the regulator and I may have to do that some day as well. Some repair micro switches but I didn't even look at that. I took the door panel off to investigate and found that the front bottom cable green keeper could be pulled out of the housing 1/4" or so. My solution - pull the cable out, add a zip tie in front of the shoulder on the green keeper to keep tension on the cable. Results - window drops as it should. Save $200+ on a new regulator! And yes - I did trim the tail of the tie.

I did that it worked for me for awhile then the cable stretched further and I could no longer put enough spacers before the green thing was pulled out of the metal. So I then replaced the regulator w/ a new one.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
